It is an honor to welcome the visitors to the website of the Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei Darussalam. Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam have time tested relations based on mutual respects, friendship and shared values. The Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H.E. Sheikh Hasina and His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah treasure the bond between Bangladesh and Negara Brunei Darussalam and wish to take the relationship further and the High Commission is continously working towards that objective. The much-awaited State Visit of His Majesty to Bangladesh on 15-16 October 2022 was a game changer and injected renewed dynamism to the bilateral relations between these two countries. The visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina to Brunei took place on 19-21 April 2019 that opened the new era of relationship between our two countries. The visit of the Hon’ble State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP to Brunei on 23-25 November 2022, the participation of Bangladesh delegation led by the Respected Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary), Ambassador Masud Bin Momen in the Second Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) held on 31 August 2022, the establishment of Bangabandhu-Bangladesh Corner at UTB – all are genuine reflections of the progress and strength of our bilateral relations.

In Brunei we have a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates working in different sectors. They are contributing positively in the progress of Brunei. We also have a set of dedicated professionals in the health and the education sector. We are proud of their praiseworthy work for Brunei Darussalam.

Our High Commission reaches out to the host society and includes them to participate in our events. We work for gender parity, inclusivity, literacy, climate change, sustainable living and fine arts with the local eminent personalities and organisations. We are committed to work together for the benefit of future generations.
